Help is on the way for back-to-school season. 

Back-to-school season adds up fast: supplies, clothes, shoes, backpacks, and everything in between. At Huffman & Huffman, we believe family means showing up for one another, and that includes the families right here in Hampton Roads. 

That’s why we’re giving away three $100 Walmart gift cards to help local families cover some of the cost of getting their kids ready for the new school year, just in time for Virginia’s Sales Tax Holiday weekend. 

How to enter: Simply fill out the entry form with your name, email, zip code, your child’s age, and the school they’ll be attending this fall. That’s it. Homeschool families are welcome and encouraged to enter too. 

Entry Period: July 15 through August 2, 2026. Winners notified and announced on or soon after August 3, 2026. Must be a resident of Hampton Roads with a school-aged child, preschool through college (homeschool included). 

One entry per person. Three winners will be randomly selected to each receive a $100 Walmart gift card. 

We’re proud to call Hampton Roads home, and we’re glad to do our small part to help make this school year a little easier on your family’s budget.

Official Rules 

HUFFMAN & HUFFMAN BROTHERS-IN-LAW BACK-TO-SCHOOL GIVEAWAY NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR BEING A CLIENT OF THE FIRM WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. 

  1. Sponsor

This giveaway (“Giveaway”) is sponsored by Huffman & Huffman Brothers-in-Law (“Sponsor”), 12284 Warwick Blvd Suite 2A, Newport News, Virginia. 

  1. Giveaway Period

The Giveaway begins on July 15, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET and ends on August 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (“Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be counted. 

  1. Eligibility

The Giveaway is open only to residents of the Hampton Roads, Virginia metropolitan area (including but not limited to the cities and counties of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Hampton, Newport News, Williamsburg, and York, James City, Gloucester, and Isle of Wight counties) who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who are the parent, legal guardian, or primary caregiver of at least one school-aged child (preschool through college, and including children who are homeschooled) attending school in the fall of the 2026-2027 school year. 

Employees, partners, and immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings) or household members of employees or partners of Huffman & Huffman Brothers-in-Law are not eligible to enter or win. 

The Giveaway is void where prohibited by law. 

  1. How to Enter

To enter, complete the official entry form and provide your full name, email address, zip code, your child’s age, and the school your child will be attending in the fall (homeschool is an acceptable answer). Limit one entry per person, per household. Multiple or duplicate entries will be disqualified. No purchase, payment, or legal consultation is required to enter or win. 

Sponsor reserves the right to request reasonable verification of a winner’s eligibility, including confirmation that the winner has a qualifying school-aged child, before a prize is awarded. Sponsor will not request or accept documents containing a child’s full legal name, photo, or any sensitive identifying information as part of this verification; a verbal confirmation during winner notification is sufficient. 

  1. Prizes

Three (3) winners will each receive one $100 Walmart gift card (each, a “Prize”). Total approximate retail value of all prizes: $300. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash or other substitution is permitted, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misused gift cards once delivered. 

  1. Winner Selection

Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the Entry Period. The random drawing will take place on or soon after August 3, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. 

  1. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified by phone and email using the contact information provided at entry. Winners must respond within five (5) business days of notification to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be reached, does not respond within the required timeframe, or does not meet eligibility requirements, the prize may be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected. 

  1. Use of Personal Information

Information collected through this Giveaway (name, email, zip code, child’s age, and school attending in the fall) will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Giveaway, verifying eligibility, and contacting winners. Child-related information is collected only in general terms (age and school name) and is used solely to confirm eligibility; it will not be published, shared, or used for any marketing purpose. By entering, participants agree to receive a follow-up email confirming results and will be added to Huffman & Huffman’s email list. Entrants may unsubscribe at any time. Personal information will not be sold to third parties. 

  1. General Conditions

By entering, participants agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final in all matters relating to the Giveaway. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s control impairs the integrity of the Giveaway. 

  1. Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants release Sponsor, its employees, and affiliates from any liability related to participation in the Giveaway or the use of any prize awarded.
