Meet Our Team

Charles A. Huffman III is a senior partner at Huffman & Huffman and has more than 35 years of experience as a practicing attorney. When Charlie is not representing clients in court, he enjoys boating, skiing and riding his motorcycle. He resides in Newport News with his wife and is the proud father of two children, who live and work in the Tidewater area.

Brad W. Huffman is a senior partner at Huffman & Huffman and has more than 25 years of experience as a practicing attorney. Brad was born and raised in Hampton Roads and currently resides in Newport News with his wife and three sons. He enjoys boating, spending time with his family and cheering on his sons at their Little League games.

Keith J. Leonard is a senior litigation attorney with Huffman & Huffman and concentrates his practice on the litigation of plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Prior to joining Huffman & Huffman, Keith practiced law for several years in the Hampton Roads area. Keith is a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads and currently resides in Chesapeake with his wife and children. He enjoys spending time with his family, friends and fellow church members. When he's not in the courtroom, he can be found surfing in Virginia Beach or cheering on his favorite sports teams.

David Ratz is a litigation attorney with Huffman & Huffman and concentrates his practice on litigation of plaintiff’s cases in the areas of personal injury, property damage and coverage disputes. Prior to litigating plaintiff’s cases, David was a defense attorney, in both private practice and as associate staff counsel for GEICO, Inc. He also spent several years in general practice. David resides in Chesapeake with his wife and children. He is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys spending time with his family while camping, hunting, boating and hiking in rural Virginia.

James has more than 25 years of law firm experience and has served in various capacities, including chief investigator, paralegal, litigation manager and a member of the senior management team for a prestigious law firm in Norfolk, Virginia. James also served more than 10 years with the Norfolk Police Department, where he started out as a uniformed patrol officer before quickly advancing to investigator in the detective division. He later became an investigator for the Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney's Office.

He is a member of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (Paralegal Section).

In his spare time, James is an avid sports fan and fine wine connoisseur. He and his wife are lifelong residents of Chesapeake and are proud parents of two children who live and work in the Tidewater area.
